How to use this tool
- Wait for “PDF tools ready”, then choose at least two unencrypted PDF files.
- Check the selected-file list. Use Move up and Move down to put the files in the order you want.
- Select Merge PDFs. Pages keep their order within each input file, and files are joined from top to bottom.
- Download the merged PDF and review it. Your source files are not overwritten. Clear files when you finish.
When this tool helps
- Put an application cover letter before its supporting documents.
- Join a meeting agenda and separate appendices into one reading copy.
- Combine report sections that were exported as individual PDFs.
A worked example
If A.pdf has pages A1–A2 and B.pdf has B1, the order A then B produces A1, A2, B1. Move B above A to produce B1, A1, A2 instead. The arrow controls move whole files, not individual pages.
Limits and compatibility
- Choose at least two files. The workspace supports up to 100 input files, 25 MB total and 2,000 pages total.
- This tool joins complete files. To leave out pages first, use Extract pages or the exclusion option in Split PDF, then merge the downloaded PDFs.
- Forms, bookmarks, accessibility tags and digital signatures may change or be lost. Review the result and keep the originals.
Up to 25 MB (26,214,400 bytes), 100 files and 2,000 pages per workspace. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported, including permissions-only encryption. Output is limited to 100 MB and processing to 90 seconds. Keep your originals: forms, bookmarks, accessibility tags and signatures may change or be lost.
Questions about this tool
Does merging upload my documents?
No. A self-hosted browser Worker reads and combines the selected PDFs on your device. The website downloads its own code, but it has no PDF upload endpoint.
Can I reorder the pages inside a file?
The merge list changes file order. Extract pages accepts an explicit page order, such as 4, 1-2, when you need a different order within one PDF.
