How to use this tool
- Choose one unencrypted PDF. All pages are selected initially; change Pages to rotate if only some need turning.
- Enter original page numbers or ascending ranges, such as 2, 4-5. Select all pages if the whole document needs a turn.
- Choose a clockwise rotation of 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
- Select Rotate PDF, download the result, and check the orientation. Unselected pages remain in the output with their previous rotation.
When this tool helps
- Turn a sideways scanned page before printing.
- Correct an upside-down page in a mixed-orientation packet.
- Apply the same turn to a selected set of landscape pages while leaving the rest alone.
A worked example
In a five-page PDF, selecting 2, 4-5 with a 90-degree turn rotates pages 2, 4 and 5 clockwise. Pages 1 and 3 are retained unchanged. Turns add to an existing rotation: a page already at 270 degrees becomes 0 degrees after another 90-degree turn.
Limits and compatibility
- The supported turns are 90, 180 and 270 degrees clockwise, not arbitrary angles. The tool does not automatically detect orientation, crop pages or OCR scans.
- Ranges must be valid and non-overlapping. Choose one PDF, no more than 25 MB or 2,000 pages.
- This produces a new PDF and may invalidate digital signatures or affect document features such as forms, bookmarks or accessibility tags. Keep the original.
Up to 25 MB (26,214,400 bytes), 100 files and 2,000 pages per workspace. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported, including permissions-only encryption. Output is limited to 100 MB and processing to 90 seconds. Keep your originals: forms, bookmarks, accessibility tags and signatures may change or be lost.
Questions about this tool
Does rotation remove the other pages?
No. Every original page stays in the result; only the selected page rotations are changed. Use Extract pages when you want to omit pages.
Does rotating convert the pages to images?
The operation changes page rotation rather than rendering each page to a new image. PDFSprig still does not guarantee that every advanced PDF feature survives editing.
